Dame Commander of the Royal Order of the Crown, Amy Hanaialiʻi Gilliom

helps to raise money for ʻIolani Palace at a fundraising gala

On Saturday, November 2, 2019, Amy Hanaialiʻi, Dame Commander of the Royal Order of the Crown of Hawaiʻi  helped to raise well over $50,000.00 and celebrated the release of her latest album Kalawaianui. The evening was a benefit with proceeds being donated to ʻIolani Palace.
 
The black-tie dinner hosted by the "Freinds of ʻIolani Palace" featured a collaboration with Chefs Ed Kenney and Mark Noguchi. The highlight of the evening was Amy Hanaialiʻi with previews of her spectacular new tracks on Kalawaianui with accompaniment by Kumu Micah Kamohoaliʻi and Halau Na Kipuʻupuʻu. The evening began with a cocktail reception at 6:00 p.m., followed by dinner.

The costs of attendance were:
$5,000 table – $625 per person
$7,500 table – $938 per person

Amy Hanaialiʻi was granted the rank of Dame Commander of the Royal Order of the Crown of Hawaiʻi on March 17, 2018 at ʻIolani Palaceʻs Coronation Pavilion by H.R.H. Princess Owana Kaʻōhelelani for her outstanding contributions to Hawaiian music, the people of Hawaiʻi and cultural organizations.
